Support Petty for Moulton Niguel Water Board 2026 (“the campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) runs the website www.electdavidpetty.com (the “Service”). Using the Service means you agree to the practices described here.

Definitions

Information We Collect

Personal Data

We may collect information you choose to give us, which can include:

We may use this information to contact you about the campaign, including news, events, volunteer opportunities, fundraising, and the election. Every message we send explains how to stop receiving them.

Information from Other Sources

When you contribute online, we receive your contribution details from www.numero.ai, our contribution processing platform. We may also receive information from the event, volunteer, and organizing tools you use to engage with the campaign, and we may combine it with the information listed above.

Usage Data

When you visit the Service, we may automatically record details such as:

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to run the Service, understand how visitors use it, measure how well our outreach works, and improve our messaging and online advertising. You can set your browser to block cookies or to notify you when one is placed, although parts of the Service may not work correctly without them.

Messaging Platforms and AI Interactions

You may be able to reach the campaign through Messaging Platforms, including Meta Platforms services. Messages sent this way may be read and answered with the help of AI Tools and other automated systems. When you contact us through a Messaging Platform, you understand and agree that:

Please do not send sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers or bank or card details, through a Messaging Platform. Each platform’s own privacy policy and terms also apply, and we have no control over how those companies collect, use, or keep your information.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

Campaign Finance Reporting. California law requires us to collect the name, street address, occupation, and employer of every contributor who gives $100 or more in total, and to report that information, along with the date and amount of each contribution, to the appropriate filing officer. These reports are public records. We may also have to collect or disclose Personal Data in connection with audits, inquiries, or investigations by regulators.

Contributions and Payment Information

Online contributions are processed by Numero, a third-party contribution and compliance platform. Credit card and bank information is not stored or processed on our servers. Payment details are handled under Numero’ own privacy and security practices.

How Long We Keep Data

We keep Personal Data only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, to meet legal requirements, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.

Where Data Is Processed

The campaign and the Service are located in the United States and intended for U.S. residents. Your information may be sent to and processed in the United States, and by submitting it you agree to that. We take reasonable measures to protect it as described in this policy.

How We Share Data

We may share Personal Data:

We do not sell personal information. Text message opt-in data and consent are not included in any of the sharing described above; they are covered only by the Text Messaging (SMS) section below.

Service Providers and Analytics

We may work with outside providers for website hosting, analytics, advertising, email, text messaging, Messaging Platforms, and AI Tools. They may handle Personal Data only to perform work for us and must keep it protected.

Interest-Based Advertising and Remarketing

We may use cookies and similar tools to show campaign ads to people who have visited the Service before. You can opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance (www.aboutads.info) or the ad settings on platforms such as Google, Meta, and X. Advertising and analytics companies, including those mentioned in this policy, may collect information about your activity across websites and online services over time when you use the Service.
